This Son Of Ford was an old survivor of mine that I bought way back in the early 70's.

I actually disassembled it about fifteen years ago but never got any further.

A few years ago I pulled it out and decided to finish it. This was an easy restoration since everything was there and nothing was broken!

After cleaning the parts I modified the front suspension to add poseable steering and began the re-assembly.

The orange plastic was polished and cleared and the rest was painted to match the box art . I had a set of original decals that were cleared and were applied without any problems.

Now it's restored better than original and built completely box stock except for the steering, some tire lettering decals from Fireball Modelworks, and a custom license plate.
