This kit restored my faith in showcar models. It was built for the 1999 Summer Surf Nats model competition--show rod division.

It's a Paddy Wagon built almost box stock. I've added Prowler tires, wheels and rear brakes, removed the fuzz grill logo and replaced it with a parts box radiator.

The ladders were made from Evergreen styrene, the bell was scratch built from bits and pieces.

Paint is Dupli-color Canter Red. Aluminum parts were painted with Testor's Metalizer. Interior was painted with Dupli-color Fresh Cream.

Decals are Fred Cady Chicago fire dept.
